Employers must establish an education and training program for all covered employees, which includes:
(a) Education
Employers must provide every covered employee with:
- Informational materials.
- A community service hotline number for employee assistance, if available.
(b) Training
- Covered Employees:
- Each covered employee must receive at least 60 minutes of training on:
- The effects and consequences of prohibited drug use on personal health, safety, and the work environment.
- Signs and symptoms that may indicate prohibited drug use.
- Each covered employee must receive at least 60 minutes of training on:
- Supervisors:
- Supervisors and other authorized company officials must complete:
- At least 60 minutes of training on physical, behavioral, and performance indicators of probable drug use.
- An additional 60 minutes of training on physical, behavioral, speech, and performance indicators of probable alcohol misuse.
